Direct Links to Evernote Notes on iOS using Drafts and Launch Center Pro or Workflow

Inspired by Jeffrey Kishner’s post where he channeled Stephen May to create a direct link to any Evernote note on iOS, I’ve taken the liberty of updating the workflow for Drafts 4, removing the Pythonista script, and bringing Workflow into the mix.

You can use it, too, by installing the Create Evernote URL Drafts action and then doing the following:

  1. Open Evernote and open the note you want to get the link to
  2. Click the ellipses ... in the lower right corner, then the Share button, then Copy Link. You can use either the Public or Private link, whichever you’d prefer. Evernote for iOS Copy Link to Note
  3. Open Drafts 4 and run the Create Evernote URL Drafts action. No need to create a new draft with the Evernote link, this action gets the link for the clipboard and then:
    1. Cleans the Evernote URL on your clipboard so will launch the note directly on Evernote for iOS
    2. Copies that new Evernote URL to the clipboard
    3. Opens Launch Center Pro so you can create a new action there to launch the note directly.
      • Pro Tip: If you are using Workflow for iOS you can use this Workflow to launch the note directly from your home screen. Just install the workflow, and tap the share icon, and then Add to Home Screen. This will open a window in Safari that allows you to save a bookmark to your home screen. The you can launch the note directly from your home screen on your iPhone or iPad. This is a great way to keep your prayer list right on your home screen.
